Another Unnecessary Comic

The Last of Us American Dreams are four comics that take place before the events of the game The Last of Us. The comics follow Ellie and Riley focusing on day-to-day life inside military school. They take their first trip outside the quarantine zone to meet the insurgent group known as the Fireflies. This comic doesn’t expanded on much. It doesn’t tell you anything about Ellie and Riley that you couldn’t get from the DLC. This comic came out before the DLC and explains one important thing, how Ellie knows Marlene.

Art of Ellie by Faith Erin Hicks

The comics art by Faith Erin Hicks is gritty yet cartoony and honestly is perfect for The Last of Us. The comic is written by Neil Druckmann who was asked by Dark Horse to create a comic for The Last of Us. He decided to focus on Ellie relationship with Riley, which is later elaborated on in the games DLC. Its short sweet and inconsequential.
