The Knuckles mini-series based on the live-action CGI hybrid Sonic the Hedgehog movies is now on Paramount+. After the major disappointment that was Sonic the Hedgehog 2 I was skeptical about this series, lucky Knuckles did not disappoint. The story follows Wade Whipple being trained in the way of the warrior by Knuckles the Echidna in order to win a bowling competition in Reno, Nevada. Wade is the bumbling deputy of the last two Sonic movies and now he gets his time in the spotlight as the leading man of this series. The story is extremely silly but has a lot of heart too, reminds me of the first Sonic the Hedgehog movie in tone. If you can get past Paramount+ insane amount of ads then I think this is worth the watch for any Sonic fan especially if you were a fan of these specific movies. I am now actually excited for the third entry in this movie series and I hope they make more mini-series down the road (especially one with Tails).
