Uncharted: The Fourth Labyrinth Review

It’s been quite a few years since a Uncharted game has come out and if you have been missing Nathen Drake and his quips then I have just the things for you.

Savvy Gaming Networks Video Game Book Club read Uncharted: The Fourth Labyrinth written by Christopher Golden. This novel was originally published in 2011 around the time Uncharted 3: Drake Deception was coming out. So we are a little late to the party but being able to go on a world adventure (in our minds) maybe just what we need right now.

This book is a prequel to all the games so the beloved cast is shorted to just Nathen Drake (“Antiquities Retriever”) and Victor “Sully” Sullivan (“Antiquities Businessman”), along with a new cast of characters that never show up again in any of the games. The story follows Nate and Sully as they try and solve the mystery of Daedalus’ Labyrinths and how they could be connected to the gruesome death of Sully’s old friend Luka Hzujak.

As talked about more in depth in the book club podcast we believe that this novel is best enjoyed before having played any of the Uncharted games, however we also believe that if you are a BIG fan of Uncharted then you also may enjoy this novel as well. A little bit of Uncharted is better than no Uncharted.
