For showcase season Nintendo pulled out the big guns announcing Metroid Prime 4 and a new Zelda game plus so much more! Lets go over SGN’s highlights of the June 2024s Nintendo Direct.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
The next installment in the Metroid Prime Series. This first-person adventure game was first revealed in 2017 and follows intergalactic bounty hunter Samus Aran on a new adventure. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will be released on Nintendo Switch in 2025.
The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy
A new adventure from the creators of the Danganronpa and Zero Escape series! 15 students are tasked with defending a school from grotesque monsters for 100 days. Can they make it to the end? And will they survive long enough to uncover the truth?
Donkey Kong Country Returns HD

Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, coming to Nintendo Switch June 27. Return to Luigi’s spooky home and wield the Poltergust to clear his home of unwanted paranormal visitors. Originally on the 3DS its nice to see it available on the Switch.
The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom
Link has vanished and you play as Zelda in this new game. Strange rifts have appeared across the world and so it’s up to you to work with your companion fairy, Tri, and use your Trirod as you set off on a journey across Hyrule to save the kingdom. Check out this gameplay trailer showing how Zelda’s Trirod works using the echo ability. Create echoes of items as you make your way through Hyrule, throw rocks at enemies, and use monsters to fight for you. The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will be released on September 26, 2024 for Nintendo Switch.

Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake and 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake
Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake trailer for the upcoming recreation of the 1988 RPG. Announced during Nintendo Direct (June 2024), Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake adds 3D effects to pixel-based backgrounds and encourages you to embark on an exciting adventure. Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake will be released on November 14, 2024 on Nintendo Switch. We also get to see a brief reveal of Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake, announcing that the games are coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox, PC in 2025.
