Fuddler’s Courtship ~ Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley DLC ~ Review

Goes Together like Buttons and Rocks

Fuddler’s Courtship is a cute side story in Moominvalley. It is recommended that you play the original game first because there is no tutorial, it just assumes you know how to play already. You are thrown into a time right before Snufkin left for the winter when he and Moomintroll were going camping but everyone else wanted to come along as well. While gathering firewood and food for everyone you follow a trail of buttons to a lovesick Fuddler and proceed to help him set up a date.

The gameplay is the same as Melody of Moominvalley, using your instruments to overcome obstacles as well as light platforming and pick em ups. There are no stealth sections; it’s a simple run, jump and collect things kinda game.  It’s a short DLC only taking about an hour of your time. As a big Moomin fan I feel as though the writing of these characters is true to its source material. I hope they make more of these ‘novella’ DLCs based on other Moomin tales because I will play everyone of them. I am a fiend for Moomin content.

If this sounds interesting and you want to check out the original game I made a spoiler free video reviewing it that you can view here.

If you don’t care about spoilers and wanna just watch a playthrough of the DLC I played through the whole thing here
